TPQG 2025 Quilt Challenge – Make a quilt inspired by the late quilt artist Ruth McDowell. Our guild was given some of Ruth's material and we had to use at least 2 pieces in our challenge. I chose Ruth's pieces “Sumac” and “Sumac 2” for inspiration and used a photo I took of a weed growing out of a sidewalk. This piece is machine appliquéd with thread painting and faced for finishing (no border).
